After adding Peters last week, the Beasts’ ownership team now boasts the NFL’s 2015 Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year and 2015 Associated Press Defensive Rookie of the Year. The Beasts are now owned by five of the biggest names in sports, as former WNBA all-star Renee Montgomery and WWE wrestler Miro also have stakes in the club.

A former standout at the University of Georgia, Gurley was drafted by the then-St. Louis Rams with the 10th-overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. As a rookie in 2015, Gurley was named the 2015 AP Offensive Rookie of the Year and earned second-team AP All-Pro honors after rushing for 1,106 yards and 10 touchdowns in just 13 games.

In 2017, Gurley earned AP Offensive Player of the Year honors after leading the NFL in rushing touchdowns (13), total touchdowns (19) and scrimmage yards (2,093). The following season he set career highs with 17 rushing touchdowns and 21 total touchdowns, leading the NFL once again in both categories.

Prior to the NFL, Gurley enjoyed a prolific three-year career at the University of Georgia, rushing for 3,285 yards and 36 touchdowns to finish as the fourth-leading rusher in Georgia history. As a freshman in 2012, Gurley was named first-team All-SEC and ranked third among all NCAA freshmen in rushing yards (1,385), trailing only Zappers quarterback Johnny Manziel (1,410).

On Saturday, May 21, Gurley’s Beasts (2-3) take on the Shoulda Been Stars (3-2) at 3 pm ET.For the complete Week 6 schedule and team/league stats visit, FCF.io

Beasts OG since it was still ‘Team Tyson’ in FCFL, love this to death, co-owner and everything, but as a former journalism student and publicist, please start referring to Miro as an AEW wrestler. He hasn’t been with WWE for a minute.
